• DIY Herringbone Board and Batten Accent Wall | Eclectic Farmhouse Home Office – ORC Week 3

Week three of the One Room Challenge is here and it is the half way point. Am I halfway done with my room? Nope not really. I have to be honest I was feeling super stressed this last week. I had a girls weekend away with family planned months in advance and it just so happened to fall right in the middle of this challenge. I was also tackling my hardest project for the room, my DIY Herringbone Board and Batten Accent wall. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to add some character to this room and this DIY Herringbone wall accent was the perfect thing! Once I…

  • Simple Door Makeover with DecoArt CurbAppeal

This post is sponsored by DecoArt Its spring time and as the sun comes out more and more it makes me want to tackle those outside projects more and more. One of those spaces that really needed a fresh look and a bit of work to it was our back patio and patio door. This is our in and out to the backyard all day long and we haven’t done anything to it since we moved into the house almost two years ago. This door was so dirty and stained! The little windows were filled with dirt buildup and there were orange rust stains running down the front of it.…

  • Eclectic Farmhouse Home Office | ORC Week 2 – A Clean Slate

We are wrapping up the first week of the One Room Challenge. This first week of the challenge was all about cleaning out what was the formal dining room turned room so that I can begin making over the room. Last week I shared my design plan for my eclectic Farmhouse Home Office makeover as well as one snapshot of how messy the room was. Well here are a few more embarrassing photos of the way the room looked when I started cleaning it out. This room had become a drop all space and a big ole’ hot mess of a room. It didn’t start out this way but things…

  • Bright and Cheery Easter Table

This year for Easter I went with a bright and cheery color scheme of coral, navy and yellow for my Easter Table. Putting together this tablescape was a little tricky since coral, navy, and yellow are not the traditional Easter colors. By pulling together some DIY projects and shopping around my home as well as some stores I was able to make this table come together just like I imagined it. First I shopped around my house and came up with my layered table runners. I used a multi colored blue and jute runner that I bought at Target a few summers back as a base and then layered my…

This DIY Egg Wreath can by completely customized to the colors that you pick for Spring. This year I am crushing on Coral, Navy, Mustard, and Teal for spring colors. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good pastel color palette for Spring decorating. I did one last year and it has been one of my most favorite tables capes that I have done. I think that it is good to step outside of the box and try something a little different. This is a great DIY Spring decor craft if you are wanting to add something new to your home but not wanting to spend a ton of money.…
