Masquerade Halloween Decor in the Living Room

Our house got a little bit spooky in a fun way with some Halloween masquerade decor.
I have wanted to put together a masquerade themed halloween ever since I bought this masquerade sign several years ago.

I used the sign in my Halloween decor the year that I bought it and then it sat in my Halloween decor storage tote after that.

It never had the right spot for it or the right decor to go with it, that is until I picked up this masquerade bust at Home goods. A few years ago I saw her in some Halloween decor pictures but by the time I was able to go to a Home goods they were all gone. I was really excited when I found her this year, I think that she adds a touch of sophistication to my Halloween decorations.

With me one thing normally sparks the inspiration behind my whole decor design and the masquerade bust was my inspiration this year. I love the sophisticated eerie look that it has.

We got some frost and a bit of snow…. I know, crazy right?!
I was shocked to see it.
It killed off the mums on my porch so sadly I will not have a fall or Halloween porch this year as it is currently covered in snow! Such is the life of living in Minnesota I suppose!

I took some stems of the dead mums and added them to my mantel. They make for a pretty and eerie look that is perfect for a masquerade Halloween.
I mixed in my Ikea candle sticks with some chunkier ones that I found thrifting and black velvet pumpkins from Target.

A quick way to dress up your decor for Halloween is to use black creepy cloth. I used some draped over some white pillows to add an ghostly feel. And it makes for a quick and easy Halloween Throw pillow!

For my coffee table decor I used this stunning and very heavy vintage silver tray as a base for my halloween vignette. I tried to make it as beautifully spooky as I could.

A vase full of skulls and Spanish moss, another black velvet pumpkin and black crow sit to one side of the tray.
The other side sits a faux flower arrangement that I made look a little frightening by adding some black roses and leaves and topped it with a skeleton spider.

I also added some spooky cloth to my Basket lid wall above the couch. I cozied up the couch with some over sized black throw pillows and a new skull and bones throw pillow. Well I made it cozy as you can make it with skull and bones throw pillow. This cute halloween throw pillow came from Home goods! I just couldn’t leave without it!
