Beach Days of Summer Porch Decor

This post is sponsored by Carpet One. All Thoughts and opinions remain my own.

I spend a lot of time decorating and re-decorating the inside of my house but let’s not forget about the area that welcomes people first, the porch! I teamed up with Carpet One to give my porch a beachy summer makeover.

I love summer time and being outside in the sunshine, but I really love spending my days at the beach. We try and go to the beach as often as we can during the short Minnesota summer. This summer has been extra hot and humid here and going to the beach is the only way this pregnant mama has been able to tolerate summer time this year.

4th of July has come and gone and so has my red white and blue decor. I tend to keep it up for a few days after the 4th of July, but then I am ready to change things up! When I saw the blue wave pink ribbon welcome mat from Carpet One, I knew that it would be the perfect inspiration for my summer porch makeover.

This welcome mat from Carpet One is so soft! It is not one of those stiff scratchy mats, but is like a soft plush carpet! It is awesome! The color is so vibrant and the size is just perfect for the front door!

The only thing that stayed from my 4th of July porch decor was this vintage screen and flag banner. The flags looked a bit nautical to me so I figured they could stay. I added the net to the screen and I think it helps give the whole thing look a bit more of a nautical decor feel.

I also kept my vintage egg crate in the corner or my porch because it works so perfectly there. My porch isn’t big enough for a bench and most small tables are to tall and end up kitting the mailbox, so this vintage crate works great!

My summer home decor look has been all about the Coastal Farmhouse style decor, so I shopped around my house to create this beachy summer porch.

I added in some beachy elements such as twine covered bottles, white sea coral and a large sea shell around my crate. I filled my black lantern with my collection of driftwood sticks for a different look.

The mailbox hook was the perfect place to hang my sea glass float. I definitely wish that I had more of these because I think they are so pretty!

I forgot about these Chippy stone bookends that I had tucked away in the attic. They look like something that has been sitting here in the ocean for some time. – Don’t be afraid to use unusual items when decorating your porch!

These faux palms and modera leaves were the perfect greenery to add to my porch decor for a tropical beachy feel. I had a few extra modera leaves that I tucked into my DIY fern wreath that is hanging on the front door.

When Carpet One reached out to do a collaboration, I was excited. I love trying out products that I enjoy to share with you! Little did I know that this collaboration would mean a whole lot more to me then I realized! You see someone that I am close to was just diagnosed with breast cancer. It seems so unreal, but for so many women it is a reality. It is now apart of my worlds reality.

Carpet One has made it possible to show your support for those who are fighting breast cancer and raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation with these pink ribbon welcome mats. 25% of the proceeds from each pink ribbon welcome mat are donated to breast cancer research. So far Carpet One has donated nearly 1 million dollars! Isn’t that amazing!!

Carpet One has 5 around the world inspired collections of the Pink Ribbon welcome mats! You are sure to find one that fits your style and show your support for those with breast cancer.
