• Neutral Nutcracker Tablescape

The Nutcracker. It is a Christmas classic full of color and sparkle and Christmas magic. I decided to take a new spin on the nutcracker Christmas decorations and create a Neutral Nutcracker Tablescape with just a small touch of color and the same amount of Christmas magic.     I had a few of these neutral nutcrackers already from a few years ago and I remember thinking when I created last years Christmas tablescape how fun it would be to create a neutral nutcracker tablescape for Christmas. Last year I didn’t have enough nutcrackers and by the time I started looking there weren’t any to be found as most…

  • Galvanized Christmas Village in the Entrance Way

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a great time with family eating all the yummy food and dessert. Afterwards we headed out for a little bit of Black Friday shopping. We took the kids along with us this year which wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. We headed out around 6pm so there were no long lines since the stores had started their deals earlier in the day. The only downside was that once we were done shopping we were all hungry again but all the restaurants and fast food were closed because of the holiday! I definitely need to bring snacks…

  • DIY: Mercury Glass Ornaments

Mercury glass is one of my favorite items to put out during Christmas time. I just love the look of it mixed in with the winter pines. I came up with my version of mercury glass ornaments one of the first Christmases that we were married. I didn’t have a big budget for buying Christmas decorations so buying mercury glass ornaments at $4-$5 each was not going to work for me. I had tried the water and vinegar with spray paint method and didn’t love the look of it. I figured out a different method that was much faster and more of a look that I was looking for. DIY…
