  • The Perfect Navy Paint that Almost Wasn’t| Eclectic Farmhouse Home Office – ORC Week 4

What a crazy week! It started off with a last minute trip to my home state of Michigan to spend Easter with my family. An unexpected ER visit for my little miss made us stay a bit longer, leaving me with just one day to work on my office. That means that the next weeks I am going to have to work overtime to get this room completed! While I only had one day or really 5.5 hours to work on my room, It made a big impact on the room! I got my navy paint up on the walls! Of course I had to start with the boring stuff…

Week three of the One Room Challenge is here and it is the half way point. Am I halfway done with my room? Nope not really. I have to be honest I was feeling super stressed this last week. Months ago my family planned a girls weekend away and it just so happened to fall right in the middle of this challenge. I was also tackling my hardest project for the room, my DIY Herringbone Board and Batten Accent wall. From the beginning I knew that I wanted to add some character to this room and this DIY Herringbone wall accent was the perfect thing! Once I had my idea…

  • Bright and Cheery Easter Table

This year for Easter I went with a bright and cheery color scheme of coral, navy and yellow for my Easter Table. Putting together this tablescape was a little tricky since coral, navy, and yellow are not the traditional Easter colors. By pulling together some DIY projects and shopping around my home as well as some stores I was able to make this table come together just like I imagined it. First I shopped around my house and came up with my layered table runners. I used a multi colored blue and jute runner that I bought at Target a few summers back as a base and then layered my…

  • DIY Egg Wreath for Spring

This DIY Egg Wreath can by completely customized to the colors that you pick for Spring. This year I am crushing on Coral, Navy, Mustard, and Teal for spring colors. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good pastel color palette for Spring decorating. I did one last year and it has been one of my most favorite tables capes that I have done. I think that it is good to step outside of the box and try something a little different. This is a great DIY Spring decor craft if you are wanting to add something new to your home but not wanting to spend a ton of money.…

Spring is officially here and that means that flowers will be blooming once again! I love adding flowers to my decor and more often then not I use faux flowers to decorate with. There are so many positives about artificial flowers. My favorite things about them is that they can be used year after year and you never have to worry about them dying. Don’t get me wrong I love fresh flowers to, but faux flowers are just easier! I am going to show you step by step how to make a faux floral arrangement for your table centerpiece. There are a few Floral Arrangement tools that are needed when…

  • DIY Painted Wooden Easter Eggs

Personalize your Easter eggs with designs and patterns that fits your spring decor. Faux Easter eggs are budget friendly and last year after year. Dying Easter eggs is an age old tradition. This year I am going to pass on the egg dying and all that comes with it. There will be no stained hands and spilled dye cups this year! This year I am painting my Easter eggs. And lets be honest who can eat 2 dozen or more hard boiled eggs before they expire?! I have no clue how my mom did it when each of us kids brought home a dozen hard boiled eggs from doing an…

  • DIY Geometric Wall Art for Spring

This post is sponsored by DecoArt. Last week I was inspired by my friend Katie @BakerNest on Instagram and her beautiful barn quilt art. I decided to try my hand at making one so I grabbed a small scrap piece of wood and tried it out. I love it so much that I wanted to make a larger piece to hang on my wall for my spring decor. I chose the space above my DIY side table for my new DIY art. The only problem is that barn quilts are square patterns, and a square wasn’t going to work for that space. So my barn quilt wall art became a…
