• A Rustic Christmas Mantel

Welcome Friends! This Christmas season is just flying by! Our family will be celebrating Christmas on the 15th, which is this Saturday! The kids are more then excited to kick of the Christmas celebrations early but celebrating 10 days early means my Christmas season has been extra short this year! Or maybe it will feel longer because we have more Christmas celebrations to look forward to. We shall see! I am just glad I am done shopping…Now if those last minute Amazon purchases show up on time so I can wrap them, I will be all set!   I have shared with you my Plaid Christmas Tree and my…

  • Masquerade Halloween Decor in the Living Room

Our house got a little bit spooky in a fun way with some Halloween masquerade decor. I have wanted to put together a masquerade themed halloween ever since I bought this masquerade sign several years ago.     I used the sign in my Halloween decor the year that I bought it and then it sat in my Halloween decor storage tote after that.     It never had the right spot for it or the right decor to go with it, that is until I picked up this masquerade bust at Home goods. A few years ago I saw her in some Halloween decor pictures but by the…

  • Simple Rustic Fall Living Room Decor

Happy First day of Fall!! It is officially the fall season and to celebrate the start of the season by making pumpkin shaped sugar cookies with the kids. They coated them in sprinkles, candy eyes and frosting. I am thinking that this may be the start of a new tradition for us. After cookie decorating we headed outside to enjoy the beautiful fall weather that we were having here in Minnesota. Those days often seem pretty rare as it tends to get cold here pretty quickly. After our time outside I came into the living room to do some reading before I needed to start dinner. I am currently…

  • Apple Tablescape for Fall

Fall is my favorite time of the year and going to the cider mills and picking apples is one of my favorite activities. This year I decided to create an apple tablescape for fall inspired by my love for all things apples. This apple tablescape is a quick and inexpensive way to decorate for fall and would be perfect for any autumn celebration!     The enamel plates match the enamel mugs on my apple cider bar. They kinda makes you feel like you are enjoying the outdoors, but without the annoying bugs to eat you alive!     I used a mixture of vintage brass candle sticks and some…

  • Fall Mantel Decor

Fall has officially started in Michigan. It kick started with a perfectΒ bright sunny cool day and then followed upΒ with a week of gloomy rainy cold days. I love the cooler sweatshirt weather, the rain not so much. Now that it is officially fall I can share with you my fall mantel decor, because sharing it when it was 80 degrees outside just didn’t seem right. While my fireplace is still sporting its 90’s oak mantel and big bulky glass and gold edged trim doors, much to my dislike, it is still fun to decorate. So until I can get to work on it, we are just going to look past…
