Today I am sharing with you my latest Bushel Basket Lid Project: DIY Bushel Basket Lid Wreath!
I just love how this came together! Bushel baskets have been my thing lately and I just keep dreaming up ways to use them around my house. You can see them in my living room here and how I used them in my fall dining room.

My Favorite thing to buy each season are seasonal picks. They are so versatile especially if you take them apart. This way you get more bang for your buck. They are budget friendly as most of them range from $5 – $3 each at regular price, I always wait until they are on sale to buy them. They are a budget friendly option for decorating.

If you are using some seasonal picks for your wreath take them apart. They are much easier to attach to the wreath as individual pieces and then you don’t have to deal with the big bulky end.  Wire cutters are super helpful when taking picks and branches apart.

The iced branches that I bought for this wreath were the hardest stems I have ever had to cut! It took me two hands and a lot of force to cut through the stems. The odd thing is, the stems aren’t even that big around. I tried to bend it until it broke off but I could only bend it one way before it wouldn’t budge back the other direction. Thank goodness for wire cutters!

I used the floral wire to attach the greenery to the wreath. This way I can change the look of my Bushel Basket lid wreath for each season!

There are two ways that you can attach your greenery to your Bushel Basket Lid Wreath with the floral wire. The first is to wrap the wire around the stem and then wrap the wire around apart of the Bushel basket lid.

I think this method is considered the “Correct” way for attaching florals using floral wire, but I am no florist. The stems that I did attach this way seemed to be more sturdy when attached to the bushel wreath.

Since I like to lay out my design first, I attached the green pines to my Bushel Basket wreath by wrapping the stem and the wreath at the same time. This way I could attach the stems in the exact position that I had them in laid out and I didn’t have to rearrange them all.

Attaching the Christmas greenery with the wire only takes a few minutes making this a really easy and quick DIY wreath to make!

I had this big plan to attach my Birch sign on my Shiplap wall in the sunroom and hang my Bushel wreath on it, but the shiplap wall in my sunroom has an angle to it and I wasn’t going to be able to hang the sign with my trusty Command Strip method. It is going to take an actual hole in the wall and some picture hanging wire to hang it up so I settled on placing it on the fireplace for now. It really goes well with my Christmas Sun room decor! The Bushel lid wreath matches the wooden sign and banner over on my vintage washtub.
