• Farmhouse 4th of July Decor in the Dining Room

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I feel like the holiday has its own energy that makes summer fun and exciting. If I could deck out the whole house in red white and blue I would. Lets be honest, I do try and decorate every room! lol I just don’t have that much patriotic decor, surprisingly. I did add a few new things to my 4th of July decor this year and I am excited to share them with you today!     My first new addition to my 4th of July decor was this runner that I made. I love the pattern of the…

  • Easter Table Decor

I am getting so excited that Easter is right around the corner. I really love the Easter holiday. It holds a lot of great memories for me as a kid, like spending time with family, doing egg hunts with my cousins, getting dressed up a little bit more fancy for church and of course always looking forward to what I got in my Easter Basket. I also love that it is a celebration  of Jesus dying on the cross for us and that he rose again.  I appreciate the true reason for Easter so much more now as an adult. It just fills my heart with so much joy.…

  • Spring Decor in the Dining Room

Spring is almost here! We have had a few warm-ish days and it has been wonderful! At the first sign of an above 32′ degree day I break out all of my spring decor and get to making things feel fresh. Living in Minnesota we don’t get very many above 32′ days in the beginning of the year and they normally only last a day or two before turning back into, as my daughter says, a snow desert. You really have to jump on the chance. Since I am currently working on installing a new floor in my living room the only space that hasn’t been impacted by that mess…

  • Sweet and Simple Valentines Day decor

Love is in the air! Valentines Day is coming up quickly! With my daughters birthday being in January, my Valentines Day decor normally get put out the first of February. Since it is such a short amount of time before the holiday I don’t go over the top with decorating. I like to keep is sweet and simple and a bit neutral. I made a heart bunting using some old book pages. You can see the tutorial on how to make the heart garland here. I love using book pages in my decor. Its a great way to add some neutral texture to a room. I am not sure what…

  • The latest around here – Fireplace Remodel

While we finished un-packing shortly after we moved into our house, we are now finally settling in to our new place. I may think I know where I want things in a new house, until I start to actually live there.  Then I tend to move things around until I find the place where they will work best. While most things stay pretty much in the same place, some things do change. One of those things was our Dining room. I had planned on putting the large dining room table that we were in the process of building in the formal dining room. Leaving us our smaller white round…

  • Dining Room Makeover

Many of you have been waiting to see my reveal of my Dining room. If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I was just waiting on the light issue to get resolved before I could take some pictures to show you the finished room. You can’t really have a room without a light in it, and a light fixture can really make or break the design of a room. The light hanging in the dining room before had to go. I mean it wasn’t horrible, but this light and I were not friends. The day that we got our keys to the house I was all about moving in. My husband…
