• Edgar Allen Poe Halloween Cabinet

I am always using vintage books in my decor, so it should be no surprise that I used them in my Halloween Decor as well. Classic vintage books are my favorite. They are always fun to find and my collection is growing slowly.  I thought it would be fun to make an Edgar Allen Poe Halloween Cabinet.   Every time I see the black ravens in Halloween decor it made me think of Edgar Allen Poe’s poem: The Raven.  I decided to turn my hutch, where I keep a good portion of my vintage books, into a Raven’s nest.   Now I do not have any vintage books containing Poe’s…

  • Masquerade Halloween Decor in the Living Room

Our house got a little bit spooky in a fun way with some Halloween masquerade decor. I have wanted to put together a masquerade themed halloween ever since I bought this masquerade sign several years ago.     I used the sign in my Halloween decor the year that I bought it and then it sat in my Halloween decor storage tote after that.     It never had the right spot for it or the right decor to go with it, that is until I picked up this masquerade bust at Home goods. A few years ago I saw her in some Halloween decor pictures but by the…

  • DIY: A Harry Potter Sign

I mentioned yesterday in my Something Wicked Halloween home tour post that I was going to share with you today the inspiration behind my broom sign. You may have guessed from the title of this post, but my inspiration behind my broom sign came from Harry Potter.   After searching for a phrase that would go with my Something Wicked decor and coming up with nothing that I loved, I decided to change directions and go the Harry Potter route.     My Harry Potter books are still packed away from moving. I have tried to locate them, but we,Tad has a lot of books. Many of which are still…

  • Something Wicked Halloween Decor

Halloween is just a week away and I thought that I would give you a tour around my house and show you my Halloween decorations for this year. We have had so much rain and overcast sky’s that I was worried that I wasn’t going to get any good pictures to share with you. However, the skies cleared for a day and I was able to get some pictures of my Halloween decorations. Something Wicked Halloween Decor At the front door you are greeted with some spooky tree branches and green ferns. Oh and the many natural spider webs. The down side to living in the woods. Spiders. A few spiders have made it…

  • Easy Halloween Table Runner

Today I am going to share with you how to make an EASY Halloween Table Runner.   This DIY project is so quick!   It just has one step!   I got these adorable spider web towels in the Halloween section of T.J. Maxx. They have more of a canvas feel then a towel feel. They are similar to a tea towel, but are a little thicker then the traditional tea towel. You are going to want to wash them first to reduce any chance of them shrinking on you later when you go to wash your table runner. If your house is anything like mine, it will get food thrown…
