• Boho Mermaid Bedroom Reveal & ORC Week 6

For the last six weeks I have been working on putting together a boho mermaid bedroom for my daughter Arianna. I am so excited to share the big reveal of the room with you! I feel like this room is so unique because it combines both Bohemian and Mermaid/nautical themes together. This room transformation came together very smoothly and I am so happy with the way it turned out! My design plans for the room took a twist into a new direction when I fell in love with a boho style Rug. I thought that it would be fitting to change the name of the room design since it took a spin in…

I have another project to share with you this week and that is my Boho Curtain Tie backs, but first I want to share a few different room decor items! I do have to remind myself to but things that…

Welcome back! There are just two week left of this One Room Challenge can you believe it! I have been so busy that these weeks have been flying by. I will be cutting it a little close with getting things finished up, but fingers crossed that we get it all completed in time! I have been working on finding a light fixture for my Under the Sea Mermaid room. The light fixture that was already in the room was one of those “Boob Lights“, you know the ones I am talking about! I really love the look of the Capiz Chandeliers to go with my room. I think that they…

The long anticipated week 6 of the One Room Challenge has arrived. I am so happy to be able to check off another room from my long  to do list. This is one of my favorite rooms that I have designed and I am excited to share it with you to day.   This is what the room looked like when I started.   Here is what the room looks like now that I am done. The closet doors I made in a similar way as my Shiplap door. I hung the entire gallery wall with command strips and hooks. I gives me the ease of easily rearranging items when I want…

  • Little Explorer Boys Room | One Room Challenge Fall 2016: Week 5

Welcome to Week 5 of the One Room Challenge! There is just one week left to wrap up last minute projects! My room is just about ready, except I have to finish my one big project. Nothing like running down the clock on a project! It is just about finished, kind of. Lets get to what I did get finished this last week. I found a great deal on a headboard for the room. While I loved this bed. It didn’t come in a twin size.  I took to hunting down at every single thrift store and home store around town and finally scored this beauty. I was able…

  • Little Explorer Boys Room | One Room Challenge Fall 2016: Week 2

The first week of the One Room Challenge is complete. Progress was made on my Little Explorer Boys Room, not as much as I would of liked to get done. Some progress is better then no progress. If you are just joining in, Welcome! You can check out the inspiration board for the bedroom here. The first week I was able to get the basic things done in the room. First, I filled all the holes in the walls. I am not sure what the previous owners had up on their walls but there are so many push pin sized holes in the wall. I lost count after I filled…

  • Coastal Bathroom Reveal

This last week was a rough one for our family. It started out great. We had a great Mother’s Day with family and a fun trip to the Detroit Zoo. On our drive home our Little Miss got sick and had some respiratory distress and ended up in the Emergency Room and then was admitted to the Hospital for a couple of days. The last several days we have been in the hospital and working on getting her better. She is much better today and will be discharged shortly. Now that we are home I am able to share my pictures of our bathroom for the One Room Challenge with you.…

  • One Room Challenge Week 5 | Bathroom Progress | Spring 2016

Welcome to Week 5 of the One Room Challenge!     This week was a tough week for getting things accomplished in bathroom. First off the weather was so nice that it was hard to stay inside and work. There have not been a whole lot of nice days here in Michigan yet so I wanted to take advantage of them. I am glad that we did because it got cold and gloomy after those few days. Our watch dog Alby keeps and eye out while she scoops the dirt and he eats it. Kids seem to always be able to find the smallest patch of exposed dirt in the yard.…
