Under the Sea Mermaid Bedroom Inspiration
I am so glad that you are here!
Its April and that means it is time for another One Room Challenge! If you are new here you can get to know me a little better in my About Me page! I am so excited to be participating in another One Room Challenge!
Not sure what the One Room Challenge is?
Let me tell you more!
The One Room Challenge is a widely anticipated biannual event every April and October. Twenty design bloggers take the challenge and transform a space in six weeks and post their progress every Wednesday. Each Thursday the guest participants (Me!) post their room progress. It is so fun to see how people transform their spaces.
Mermaids have been the latest obsession for my 4 year old little miss. It all started at Halloween when our family went trick or treating and we went as The Little Mermaid theme. Tad was King Triton, Arianna was Ariel, Ryder was Flounder, and I was Ursula. I had a lot of fun creating and sewing our costumes.
Arianna is a big fan of Halloween and was so excited to dress up and go trick or treating. She constantly asks what we are going to dress up as for the next Halloween and if it is here yet. When I say constantly I mean we talk about it almost daily, mostly at bedtime, and she tells every cashier at the store when we are checking out that she was the Mermaid Ariel for Halloween.
Picking a theme for her room was pretty easy since she is all about mermaids it just seemed like a natural choice. For Arianna’s Under the Sea Mermaid room I am going with various shades of teal with some pops of pink and gold. Here are a few Mermaid rooms that I am using as my inspiration:

I also want Arianna’s room to have a little bit of a Boho vibe because it is fitting to her personality. She is definitely a free spirit kind of girl. Here are some of my inspirations:
