Sweet and Simple Valentines Day decor

Love is in the air!

Valentines Day is coming up quickly! With my daughters birthday being in January, my Valentines Day decor normally get put out the first of February. Since it is such a short amount of time before the holiday I don’t go over the top with decorating. I like to keep is sweet and simple and a bit neutral.

I made a heart bunting using some old book pages. You can see the tutorial on how to make the heart garland here.

I love using book pages in my decor. Its a great way to add some neutral texture to a room. I am not sure what you would call my coffee filter decor….coffee filter puffs….coffee filter flowers? They were a part of a DIY that didn’t work out, but I loved the way they looked so I kept them. They are a mix of coffee filters in various shades and book pages.

On the other side of my side table is my tiered tray displaying my Valentines Day Rae Dunn.

I moved my white pitcher collection from my hutch to the bottom of my table. I was a little nervous with having a 2 year old boy in the house, but so far out side of the initial curiosity of seeing something new he has shown no more interest in playing with them! Thank goodness.

The little white birds were a gift from my Dad, and something that I will always cherish. I love that they can go with just about anything, plus they are so cute!

I added layers to this corner with a galvanized cake stand and a wooden candle stick and a touch of greenery with my favorite faux plant from Ikea.

On the other bottom side of the table I have these two vintage red striped pillows. They could not be more perfect! They are nice and soft and have a beautiful faded look.

The dining table I kept really simple since we use it on a daily basis and it needs to be wiped down several times a day. I used the same eucalyptus andย ranunculus bouquet as what is on the side table and paired it with a shorter vase of red roses.

The cookies I bought from Aldi’s. They were too cute to pass up and they were under $2 for a package. So far only a few cookies have been swiped from the plate. It probably wont be long until they are all gone!

The table runner is a roll of wrapping paper that I found at Target. I love the colors and the little hearts. It was the perfect length to so I didn’t have to cut it at all!

Thanks for checking out my Sweet and Simple Valentines Day decor!
